Too Trendy?

Clients often love certain styles, kitchens or rooms they see on Pinterest, Houzz etc but are afraid they like something now that is "trending" but won't like it in the future. How do you decide? We say, stay with neutrals on expensive items like cabinets, flooring, etc and add color or those trendy styles to smaller less expensive items like cabinet hardware, toss pillows, an accent wall, accessories you can easily replace in the future!
